Jigsaw is now in its 17th year drawing young people of 7-16 years from Chester and the wider area. It provides members with a unique experience of being involved in the creation and performance of the innovative musical theatre. Members are encouraged to play instruments live on stage as well as acting and some of the older members develop directing and workshop leader skills.

The company was created by Veronica Bennett’s in 1991 and directed by many professional artists, dance workers, designers and musicians.

Jigsaw has created and performed many original pieces of musical theatre including Charlie Prince; Rock Idol of the Town, Big Nose, Going Underground, The Brutal Truth, the Princess Who Couldn’t Sing, the Roses of Eyam, The Man in The Balloon, The Happy Prince, Polychrinicon (with the Gateway Theatre), Unsinkable (story of Titanic), The Village Cross, The Last Village, The Girl With No Name, Lord of The Flies, Ghost Within The Walls and Millennium Bugs. Many people will have seen Jigsaw as they played a major role in The Twelve Days of Christmas with Theatre in Quarter.
